Without battery storage, the surplus energy your panels generate during the day goes back to the grid at wholesale rates (typically 4–6p per unit), while you buy it back in the evening at 24–30p. Battery storage closes that gap.

From this, we specify a battery with the right capacity, not the largest capacity available.
